How this estimate works
The estimate is taxable value × effective rate, where taxable value is the home value minus any exemption you enter. The effective rate is median taxes paid divided by median home value for the county, so it already reflects the county's typical mix of assessment ratios, mill rates and exemptions.
Your actual bill depends on your assessed value, the exact mill rates of every authority that taxes your parcel, and the exemptions you qualify for. Treat this as a planning figure and confirm with your assessor. See how property tax is calculated.
